GPU or screen problem?

I have a 570GTX thats fairly new.
Viewsonic vx2268wm 120hz its just over 2 years old.

When playing games my game will seem to stutter for a sec and then monitor will go black for a few seconds, it will then come back on with DVI in a blue box at the top right.

How can I sort this as It never used to do this but wondering if it might be due to my NEW GPU or settings I have on my nvidia card?

All drivers are up-to date and only using 1 screen / gpu

Happens on all games from LoL to call of duty etc.

try loading a game using onboard gpu, but on the lowest settings so it will run A BIT lol, and see if it happens then, or do the same using a different card.

get rid of any overclock you may have on the card and try

update the drivers, or roll back to previous ones if that helps

loose connection maybe?

could be the monitor, but doubtful
