Well, I put everything to default and as I suspected, the gpu is stuck in the low 2d profile... Won't bump up the core/mem to the performance 3d profile (almost double the clock).
I tested by running a number of benchmarks, even played css in window/full screen mode to see what could initiate it.
Any ideas why? It's a 9800GT 512...
