Scenario:
HIS X850 XT PE 540/580
I carefully overclocked my card to 591/627 benchmarking after each increment and i finally perfected it until everything was stable and getting a smooth score on 3dmark05
PROBLEM:
I then launched Call of duty 2 and immediatedly i noticed tearing, (black lines across screen) I thought no big deal, toned down 3mhz each there was still problems
I repeated the above process and i pretty much got sick and dropped it 5mhz a time until i reached 560/600 which is a poor overclock considering the default
I think the above is a poor overclock or is this usual?
My temperatures used to be 85c before i cleaned my graphics card and then it never went above 56c so i decided to do some overclocking. I then realised the highest temperature i was getting was only 62c so i was very happy

I still need to overclock my processor but is that a good improvment or not?
