Hello :)

Ive got a asus R7 260X and its starting to overheat. When sitting idle its hitting 60-65C and when I go on a game, it shoots up to 90-100C. Its never done this before :(

Ive cleaned the dust off it and check my other fans and they all seem normal. My CPU's temps are fine too.

Any ideas on what to do? Ive tried a virus and malware scan too and they came back fine

Thanks

If this is in the wrong forum please let me know and Ill move it

As above - check fan speeds, even a visual check to see if fan is spinning.

If it checks out, time to clean and replace thermal paste. May have expanded causing trapped heat.

Fan speed is at 23% and they are working when I opened the case, Ill look into changing the thermal paste, never did it before.

Thanks

If it's gettng that hot I would have thought the fans would be running at 100% possibly a sensor fault.
Andi.
