Hey,

how would i know if my GPU wasnt getting enough power from my PSU? I have a Asus 6800 with x2 6pin pcie. The reason i ask is because i got the power supply from my friend and it only had one pcie cable but after a while he mailed me another which looked different but had the pcie tag on it

I start my computer this morning and the screen went black and said radeon graphics driver has encountered a problem but has recovered. I have been using the cable a few days and id say this was the first problem

ok, same as me.

So, as long as the modular PCI-E cable fits in the correct slot on the PSU, there should be no harm in using one from a different psu/manufacturer. They are all wired to the same standard (except maybe ebay ones).

I wouldn't have thought the driver error is related to the PSU. Try re-installing the driver, ensuring you have the latest version.

Ok thanks

Another quick question if you dont mind, i noticed a thread saying 12.4 ccc was released. I only installed the drivers since ccc lagged my computer on boot up so how do i find my version out and do i uninstall the old ones before i install the new?
