But the same is true of the Core17 gpu units; that's the whole point!
e.g. I'm running a 7810 work unit. It's base credit is 3075 points but because of the Quick Return Bonus, I will get 8768 points. A faster card would get more points than mine.
This is exactly the same process as with the QRB on cpu units. That's why I am so interested in what points people are getting.
yup correct, maybe I should have just been clear to start with haha
its the CPU that has to complete 10 work units before it gets the bonus points, as ive seen some people say that the cpu points are really low, but they wasn't aware its because they havnt completed 10 work units.
although I did say gpu's don't get bonus points, when infact they do, I was just referring to how the cpu points work
i was getting 21-30k ppd with a stock 660 but it died and a new one will be at least another week or too
. i've nearly got 1mil in total with just a fx6200 and a gt610
im sure in a recent post some body has/had a 660 and it was getting 40/45k ppd? this was with the added tags of coruse
from another thread , incase you don't know what Im talking about lol
if you open the folding program and click configure a new box will open, in there you will see a tab saying slots , if you click this you will see it says
folding slots
cpu
gpu
if you double click the gpu one it will then open another box , at the bottom of the box you will see it says extra slot options and there is 2 boxes that say " add " and " remove " . click on the add box and another little box opens , type this in so it looks like this
name: client-type
value: advanced
then just click ok on all the boxes till they all close, this will have your gpu produce far better points
