GPU problem?

I've had this problem twice this morning, once with both CPU and GPU overclocked and once with them both at stock.

It's happening while playing Black Desert Online, if i have the game minimised then start a video in the web browser the screen goes like it is in the pic. Happened with both Youtube and Vine, videos played locally are fine. The PC is still running in the background as i can hear the game sounds but nothing gets rid of the weird screen other than shutting down and restarting.

Would this indicate a GPU problem or (hopefully) just a software conflict the BDO beta game?

I would be inclined to agree with Hazard. I had a similar pattern come up on a laptop a few years back and it was sent back under warranty and it was the gpu chip.

out of interest. what spec are you running? have you got onboard graphics you could try?
 
It's running a 2600k and 7850, there's onboard graphics but I doubt they'd be up to even testing in that game.

It's weird that i can replicate it every single time just by opening a youtube video while the game is running in full screen. If i put the game in full screen windowed mode rather than true full screen it doesn't happen no matter how many videos i open.

Probably trying to talk myself out of it being the GPU with the above tbh :p
