Hello

Purchased an rtx 4070 from OCUK during the week specifically for VR in iracing.

I was told not to buy amd for iracing and go down the Nvidia route.

Well I wish I never. Currently I'm locked at either 44 or 36 FPS iirc in game and this doesn't matter whether I have settings fully maxed or at absolute minimum.

I'm using the quest 2 wired and by air link to test.

I've followed the VR setup guide on the iracing forums numerous times. I've installed and reinstalled windows 10 and 11 ( check whether either is causing the problem ) and no matter what it won't run properly.

Disappointed because this is my first Nvidia card I've owned and without a doubt the worst

I've also never had to return pc components before and I'm wondering how easily it is to return the card after 3 days.

My final question is if I can return this card what would be an acceptable amd alternative for iracing VR

Thanks in advance to any advice

I'm wondering how easily it is to return the card after 3 days.

You are within the return period of 14 days so it’s easy.

‘If you wish to cancel any of the products on your order and return them for a refund, you have up to a total of 14 days to contact us after the final receipt of your order.

You must inform us in writing if you wish to cancel your order. This can be done through the forums, by webticket, fax, or post.

You must return the goods within 14 days of notifying us of the cancellation. We will reimburse you within 14 days of receipt of the goods using the same means of payment as you used when placing the order.’

I'm most likely wrong but....

I know in some games, MWO for example, if the vdu you wish to use is not connected to the primary output on your gpu it can limit your fps.

Weird, I know.
