Hey guys,
So I bought my second Gigabyte WF 7970 almost a month ago and the card is spot on......however, once the card is under load and the fan hits 60+% the fan closest to the rear of the case starts to buzz/rattle. If I stop the fan with my finger it makes the sound go away but I do not feel comfortable with this long term. Now, I can sell this card and take a £50 hit as the lad wants to watercool and I am seriously thinking about it as I work funny shifts, do not get a lot of free time and this fault is not always replicable so an RMA might just mean a lot of hassle for nothing. I have just come in to bit of money so that's not the issue either. I have 2 WF 7970s in xfire now (faulty one included) and the top card playing crysis gets really hot so I thought I might just get the HIS ice-q 7970 as my bottom card but I sent 2 of those back (one DOA and one with a faulty port) before buying the second WF. Does anyone run the HIS as a second card and does it heat up the top one as much as the WF does? A fix for the WF card would be easier but I have a feeling that's not possible

Good call mate but for peice of mind I think I just want rid. I always fancied the HIS card as well but after I got 2 faulty ones it put me off. Now I have ran 2 WF's in xfire and I have seen the temps the top card gets I fancy a different make I think
