Hi All,
I've just done a refresh on my PC, basically everything other than the GPU, which is a GTX Titan Black.
Motherboard is a Asus Prime X570-Pro with an X5900.
Now I installed the GPU in the second PCIe slot as it made things a little easier for the water-cooling plumbing .. but the BIOS is reporting that it's running in 8x mode and suggests that it would be best to use PCIe1.
I have looked through the manual and can't find anything that explains this.
There are no other PCIe slots being used and I have a single NVMe PCi4 in the M2_2 slot.
And I'm on BIOS version 3603
Is it really the case that i need to use PCIe 1 to get the card to run at 16x ? it seems odd as the Prime has 3 PCIe 16 slots, so I would have thought that any of them should work (with my limited knowledge of these new boards - I've come from a trusty Asus P6T !
)
I have re-seated the GPU a few times too.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Cheers
