GPU Running Hotter In New Case

Hey everyone,

I have some slight concerns with a new case / build I have just completed. I had an RX 480 in my old Corsair 750D which I barely used to hear at all. At most it went up to 30% - 40% fan speed. I've just replaced my old i5 3570k with a Ryzen 5 2600 with all new stuff and decided to get a new case with it, Be Quiet 600.

Been testing out some games the last few days and the 480 is running so much louder than before, maybe 60% to 70% fan speed, and I'm guessing it's running way hotter inside. Could this be because of the cooling in the case?

Another explanation could be that my old i5 was holding back my GPU and it's now working harder, but not sure about that.

Before I go moving it from one case to the other does anyone have any ideas of what's going on?

Many thanks!

Your new case got the optional fans fitted?

I’d say it’s just airflow being the issue. I think the bq600 comes with 1 front fan fitted?

sorry was on my phone, the above shows you how you want your fans positioned. at present, in theory, you're drawing in more air than the case will expel so the air will be warming up inside. worst case switch the 120 to intake and the 140 to outtake

Thanks for your help. Thought I'd update in case anyone else is curiours. I installed 2 140mm, 1 extra at the front and an exhaust in the top. Still had the same issue. I had a look in AMD Crimson and for some reason it seemed intent on keeping my GPU at 40 degrees, making the fans go crazy. I've capped the fan speed at max 40% and tested Far Cry 5 on max, GPU reached 66 degrees and CPU at 51 which seemed fine to me.
