Got £300 to spend on a new graphics card, main use will be gaming at 1920x1080, got a corsair 750w psu so should be enough for most single cards. Would love some reccomendations on what to get?

edit: i do have a nvidia 3d ready monitor so keep that in mind

Hi there,

Do you plan on using the 3D vision technology or will you be mainly using it as a 120Hz "2D" monitor?

As that price range the best single card options are the GTX 570 and the HD 6970. Also, since you have a crossfire capable board then I would suggest considering running two HD 6870s in crossfire (if you look here this is quite a but quicker than a single HD 6970). Also the GTX 580 has come down in price recently, with this particular version coming in at under £350 - however it is quite over budget.

Im not sure on the 3D yet, its not something that i am 'taken' to allthough i have not really tried it. Both the cards you have selected was the ones i was looking at, just not sold on which one yet.
Currently on my desk i just dont have enough room for more than 2 monitors, so something like eyefinity is a nogo for me. Id like to hear some more opinions on the 570/6970 before i purchase one.
