GPU sits to close to K2 (CPU cooler) fans

+1 for having the k2 rotated, keep direct airflow through the case. I have the same cooler mounted like this.

While it is a broad beast, the main issues with it arise from how each tower flares out. That and the 140mm fan protrudes a bit. But i always use 120mm fans on mine. Corsair sp's at the moment.

there's mine, it's a bit old now but it works perfectly, but i cant use the same cooler because the Haswell is closer to 200W, but as you can see the air blasts straight through......the Xigmatek Dark knight might work or the Be Quiet pro.......the ideal one is that Noctura, but i have its fan, such an ugly colour

Is your rear case fan slid down as low as it can go?

Ideally line it up with the exhaust fan of CPU cooler.

Yep, thats the lowest it can go. I could get shot of it and bung another fan onto the cooler. Got several more sp's spare and extra clips. Though theyre a nightmare to fit.

I had a 120mm fan in that spot before, swapped it for the 140mm to try and get as much of the fan covering the area at the back of the cooler. Air out of the case is very cool. The joys of haswell, the heat stays under the ihs no matter what the cooler is.:D

Why is there what looks like a dust filter on the rear of the front intake fan?
Other than that, the top right exhaust isn't doing much apart from taking air away/competing with the K2 intake, which would be gobbling up any stray air from the gpu anyway.

Filter is there to stop dust getting in? Where should I palce the filters because I hate dust and want asa little of it as possible in my PC.

so do you recommend i take off the top right fan then?

ideally what you want is an intake fan blasting directly at the cooler fan, with nothing in the way, so no hard drive trays etc.....like mine...the exhaust fan of the cpu cooler should line up with the exhaust of the of pc case, this means that cold air rushes through in a straight line.

your intake fans are too low

my hard drive is on the roof of the pc case :D

Cases have many gaps even with filters in place.

Is your case Negative pressure (cooler more dust) or Positive (hotter but less dust) pressure?

awh

just in case for the future what cases would u recommend then and how do i check what pressure it is? i would like to have positive pressure but i dont know if i do?

modern cases dont line up, the upper fan is always lower than the cooler, i was lucky with mine because my front panel is mesh from top to bottom, so i could raise it up.

it's not a massive problem, but it's not ideal, but with yours you have an exhaust fan directly over the cooler, this is sucking cold air out the case, it's competing with the cooler .......... turn that fan off

the above or similar.......

A filter on the rear of a fan pretty much just blocks the air coming out of it and any advantage you've gained by stopping any extra dust that made it past the filter at the front is negated by this.

Basically, let the front filter do it's job and accept that you'll still have to do a little dusting every now and then regardless :)

Yes, I would remove the top right fan and maybe place the filter you've taken from the front in the empty space, as the K2 will be drawing air and dust through there.
Leave the top left one though, as that corner can be a bit of a hot pocket sometimes, but it's not absolutely essential as heat would just make it's way out of the top grill anyway.

I will say that all this won't make a massive difference, it's just that every little helps and it all adds up.
