so i saved up and finally built my pc, but since it was specced a few months back things may have changed, sorry if this is in the wrong section. To cut to the chase i have i5 3570, giga z77, 8gb vengance, 2tb seagate, 600w psu, in a zalamn z9+. for the time being i will be using my 1080 bravia tv, not planning to go above tbh, i have a spare 300 to spend, originally i was advised a 660 oc, but now i think i could probably get a windforce 670 or a 7970, this has probs been asked a million times but any input would help, i am leaning towards the 670 basically becuase of physx, im a console gamer and dont really have a clue. hope to be run games like battlefield, new dayz crysis etc. being single 1080 should i get decent gpu/ssd or go with a 670/7970. yes my grammar/spelling is bad but its sat morning and im drunk.:(

I think SSD and GPU would be best. SSD cuts down those loads times, doesn't help frame rates but makes gaming a more enjoyable experience. 7950 and SSD?

thanks for the replys, i think an ssd/gpu now, i have yet to attempt an oc. is the 7950 decent? bearing in mind i have not even tried to oc my i5 yet.my head is numb lol

i have no reason to favour nvidia, but for some strange reason i do. as mentioned i am new to this, but i am tempted to just buy a 670 and get an ssd in a month or two. but hopefully smarter people than myself will point me in the right direction

thanks again! few seem to spec nvidia in build advice, so i assume the 7950 etc are better value, my thoughts are i have spent a decent amount of money so far so i dont see the point in buying a lesser gpu. id rather spend the extra knowing it wiiill perform better.

Well crisis is a bonus, seems the 7950 is the most recommended card, obviously for a reason! Looks like I will order that tomorrow maybe stretch for a cheap Ssd also. Aprreciate all your help.
