Hi all, I've got a build I like, but a 4090 makes me wince too much when I think about the price.

Is there a decent mid-tier GPU that works for this build? Ideally I want 60fps at 1440p.

7900 XT is the 'value' high-end card for 1440p.

The budget option is a 6700 XT, which can handle 1440p/60 just fine, but would be a bit silly to pair that with a high-end system like yours.

I fully accept that. Ideally I'd like a card to match the system, but the prices are crazy. 4090 for 1500 is just so painful.

I'll take a look at the suggestions. Thanks

Even a 4060 will hit 60fps at 1440p in most games. A 4070 will stomp it. My 3070 maxes out my 144Hz 1440p on all the games I play on max settings. It's really a matter of deciding how much you're willing to spend.

The 4090 is a magnificent thing; but I think it offers very poor bang-for-buck in terms of how much extra you'll actually get out of the experience.

As above 3080ti will run 1440p nailed to max at 144Hz easily. Ordinarily I'd advise 4070/4070ti but the lack of VRAM and low bitrate memory bus could be an issue over the next few years if you play AAA games with high res textures.

None of the 40 series are great value. In your position I'd buy a used 3080ti off MM to see you through the next 2-3 years and hope the 50 series is better value for money - in fact I did just that.

The 6950xt is always an option. Could probably even go 6800xt. It depends what prices you're looking at and what's on offer right now. The rest of your system should be ahead of any of those GPUs but it gives you room to upgrade later.
