GPU Suggestions

I'm looking to get a gift for a family member. I recently built him a PC for work, with no GPU. With us opting for the following CPU (AMD Ryzen 5 5600G) which would cover both CPU and display, as budget was the main factor.

He wants to start playing CS2 again after a long time away and I'm looking to buy him an 'entry' level GPU to use in the PC we built for him. What would you guys recommend without breaking the bank that I could consider buying him? I've only had experience with nvidia myself, but I guess could consider AMD/Intel as the requirements are quite low?

Open to suggestions :)

Thanks!

Have a look @ this to get an idea how they perform:

New, the RX 6600 would be my choice and it has fairly modest power requirements, since I assume you didn't build this PC with a big PSU?

If it needs to be cheaper and slot powered, that leaves you with the 1650 (though some have power connectors), or the 6400, though that would be hindered (not sur exactly how much in CS2) by PCi-E 3.0.

I’ve been impressed with the RTX 4060

Low power card, and churns out decent fps, I’d look for a 3060 second hand though for the cheaper option

I did buy him a MSI-MAG B550 and a 700w power supply (as I thought he may end up upgrading in due course).

I'll check out the link and the stats for the RX660, thank you.
