Hello all.
I have an old gaming Overclockers rig - Intel 7 processor, 16gb RAM. Bought it a number of years ago and it has given great service. A couple of years ago I changed the graphics card to an Asus Nvidia Geforce RTX 2060.
I recently started playing a more "graphics intensive" game - namely Walking Dead Definitive Series.
While playing I noticed the graphics card fan being a little noisier. I assume it is just because the game needs a little more help with the heat so the fan has to work harder. I thought it would be prudent to monitor the GPU temperature.
While playing the GPU core temperature is around 80c and the GPU is around 75% to 85%. When NOT playing and nothing else running other than a browser or Outlook GPU core is around 53c and the GPU core 3% to 5%.
I lowered some of the game settings from high detail etc down to low. Average GPU temp is now around 55c and the core 40%
Is the greatly increased temperature and core use while playing this game a cause for concern? I have to admit to being a little out of touch with IT as of late.
Any help or advice would be appreciated.
