GPU temperature question

So i bought rx 6700xt seems that everything works fine but just now i noticed its idiling in range from 46 to 59c when it hits 59c vents kick in on 996 rpm and lover temp 48c and then it repeats going back to 59 and back to 47 when fans cool it down, is that normal for idile?

will this do any demage in long run?

My sons reference 6750xt is the same its the zero rpm mode that idles it at high temps. Turn that off and/or create your own fan profile in the AMD software and it knocks off 10-15c.

For Nvidia use Afterburner to override the zero rpm mode with the fan curve option in fan monitoring/settings.
AMD in performance/tuning/custom you just turn it off. My sons I set it to 40% at 0c and created a curve. Its so quiet too.

OP: I'd normally expect it to idle lower than that, are you using multiple/high refresh monitors, or watching videos?

i turned off zero rpm mode and it instantly dropped to 39c and set fans to 850rpm
sorry to bother u but is it ok to have my fans turned on all time on gpu and i read something about if temp goes under 30c is bad for gpu

yeah i have 2 144hz monitors i usually watch videos on yt and i noticed that couse i just upgreated 5900x to my old ch6 x370 and replaced rx 570 with rx6700xt so i watch monitoring apps all time to get feel to how system runs

but even if i dont watch videos it stays 56c and its only 2c spike to get fans goain on 58c they automaticly kick in so that cycle hapens every 5 mins or so

i have just installed AB on my PC. I have set the fan to be "always on" and have the fan curve starting at 40% speed and the temps at this speed are hovering around the 30c mark. Is that OK?

Also, their is virtually no fan noise or such at that speed.
