Using ATi Tray Tools to monitor the temps of my x1950 Pro 512mb (Sapphire).

At the moment, i have set the fan speed to manual and to 75% at 50deg or lower, then 100% on anything higher than this.

A few months ago, this temperature was in the low to mid 40's, and now it idleing at around 50 deg in the daytime, and about 53deg at night, even at 100% fan speed. I can remember setting it at 100% fan speed before would get me around 38 or 39 deg, but it was too loud for general usage, so i set it to default.

Now i often clean the CPU and GPU out with a hairdryer and just by blowing the crap out of it, but that normally does the trick but doesnt seem to have done so this time, and the worst part is that the weather isnt even remotely close to what i call hot at the moment (21 degrees), so i dread to think how hot it will get should we get mid 30 degree temperatures in the following weeks!

I have some AS5, but ive never opened up a GPU before and i dont know if you can even use this to reapply the paste?

Thanks. :)

Just done it all.

Temps are at 44deg idle at 50% fan speed compared to 50deg idle at 100%. Not bad at all. :)
