GPU unstable in Deus Ex (inc graphs)

Is this simply a problem with the game? It's unplayable at the moment. I got about 10 hours in and now it keeps crashing out.

I constantly get crashing in this game. It's been 3 days since I used an VPN service in the US to obtain an IP address to unlock the game through steam. You could see the official forum full of complains there.

Are you using 280.26 nVidia drivers by any chance?

Game started getting unstable soon as I got to China. PC has been solid stable for months, only recent change was the display drivers.

Yep, using 280.26 on a 580GTX.

I've managed to get it settled by dropping to DX9 but not happy. Was running really well up until China.
