GPU Update ! Will me current spec bottleneck ?

I'm looking to purchase a 1080ti but I'm not sure if the current spec I have, will be enough to keep up with that monster.

What do you think ?

mobo: Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7
ram: Kingston 16GB 2400MHz
psu: Superflow 750W
cpu: i7 4790k @ 4.00Ghz

Yes, it will be fine (if you were worried about wattage you will still have 200W to spare with a quality SuperFlower).

What monitor/res are you playing at?

Right now I have two 1080p 60hz monitors but I'll be getting a 1440p 144hz after the gpu upgrade

The Ti combined with your present setup will plough through all games at 1440p 144Hz- enjoy. (The GTX 1080 would still suffice if on a budget).

No idea re: PUBG as it's early access - they have every opportunity to balls things up, periodically, while they're tinkering

You won't get anywhere near solid 144fps on pubg at 1440p. It's terribly optimised. I am lucky to hit 100fps just in the plane.
