GPU Upgrade advise

Heya all, Currently running an I5 @4.6 on a P67 with a 6950, for the time being I am happy to keep the I5 but the 6950 needs an upgrade. I mostly play MMO's with the occasional fps thrown in on a 24" monitor at 1920x1200, is a 290 too much ? or would I be happy with a 280?

a 290 would be much better bang for buck if. 1200p requires a bit more grunt than 1080 and games will only get more demanding.

Depends how long you want to keep it but 290 much longer life for not much more $$$.

Depending on what you want to spend i find the GTX 780Ti brill for anything!!

but hefty price tag!!

MMO's generally need more CPU power but your CPU at 4.6 will be plenty in that department. WoW favours Nvidia, as does Diablo3. I can't speak for others, as I don't know sorry but anything GTX770/280X will cope nicely and then the 290 and 780 both have serious power that eat all games at 1200

i found Diablo 3 stuttery on an AMD 7970 but on the Nvidia card it runs smooth as silk .. and 3D as a bonus
