Ok then so, I am thinking about upgrading my GTX560Ti to a GTX 770. Is there any reason not to do this (my PSU is 650Watt Antec) my motherboard is an MSI Z68A-GD65 (G3). I am pretty sure it supports PCI-E 3. I am quite aware this may be a stupid question, but I would just like confirmation =/.

You don't even need to worry about it as you don't need PCI-E 3.0. PCI-E 2 has enough bandwidth for that graphics card.

you will be fine pcie3 comes into use with multiple cards basically double the bandwidth of pcie2 but you won't hit the max bandwidth of pcie2 with that card
