My PC is used mainly use for iracing on a 3 screen setup. I'm experiencing that my current GPU is running at 100% most of the time while running the game and I have some framerate drops especially with big grids, so thinking of a GPU upgrade. Max Individual CPU cores measuring between 45% - 55%

Current system:

i5-2500K
MSI P67A-GD65
AMD Radeon HD 6950 2GB GDDR5
8GB RAM

So do you think I can get a considerable improvement by upgrading the GPU? If so what would you recommend? Don't have a specific budget, but would not want to go overboard so that the rest of the system just becomes the bottleneck and I can't get the most out of the GPU.

Thanks

If budget was no object, then the Titan X is the obvious choice as it's very powerful with loads of VRAM.

Assuming you're part of the 99% of the population without the money for a Titan X, with the prices as they currently are, I don't think you can go far wrong with a 290 or 290X as an upgrade over your current GPU. Running triple screens really does need all the GPU horsepower you can get in newer games, and as someone who's run 5760x1080 over the years on 5870/5870CF/7970/7970CF/290CF I can safely say you will find a 290 or 290X a definite, noticeable improvement over a 6950. The doubling of the VRAM from your current card won't hurt you either.

If the 290/290X is too much, let us know a budget and we'll work out the best option mate.
