I'm considering a jump up from my current 3070 and I'm torn between a 5070 or 7800XT. I've found both for < £450 (basically an absolute maximum as we're building an office) but as usual, I'm struggling with the decision making process...
I'm primarily running Linux for gaming at 3440x1440 and so far on Nvidia it's been a perfect and flawless experience (unlike a few years ago), but got Windows dual booted for a very select few like BF6. I do occasionally stream (mainly WoW) for friends unable to attend etc and I understand that Nvidia wins out there, but not sure it's enough to force the green hand. I don't care too much about RT performance - I use a 3070
The 7800XT card is PowerColor who I know are one of the good AMD brands, the 5070 is an ASUS Dual model so I feel like it could be a little on the hot side and potentially not run as well as most reviewed cards, but both of these are identical in price (give or take 10p)
