GPU Upgrade from 770

So I am currently looking at upgrading my GPU and since the price drops in the 1080's wondering if they are worth it at the cost point?

Been looking at the EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 SC at 499.99?

Do not want to go past £500 and if there is a better bang for buck for less I am happy to save money

1070 would be perfect or wait for AMD 580

480 8GB or 1060 6GB would be the sensible choice. 1070 8GB if the monitor has high refresh rate.

While 1060 would be good it wouldn't max games in ultra

IMO the 1070 is the best place for 1080p gaming. It'll let you max out games. If you want the AMD flavor hen wait until the 580 and 570 come out but they will just be refreshes of the 480 and 470 I think. AMD 480 is a good call for 1080p gaming too.

I have decided to go for the GeForce GTX 1070 PHOENIX Golden Sample 8192MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card

Seems to be well spec'd for the money its up for.

If you can find a GTX1080 for a very good price then consider that as well, otherwise, the 1070 is the sweet spot for the higher end tier cards.
