Hey guys so my current PC is getting on now, over 5 years old I think...not got any new titles for quite some time and looking at the system requirements it seems I'm rather out of date.

So a few games I'd like to play are things like The witcher 3, Resident Evil 7, The Evil Within 2.

Especially the latter seems to have high requirements for the vram albeit I'm reading around and the recommended 4gb is apparently an unreasonably high estimation and it really doesn't use anywhere near that much.

At the moment I have...

i5-3570k
8GB Ram
HD7950 3GB

My monitors res is only 1680x1050, at some point I'll get another one for the forseeable it'll be the same.

I'd only have around £200 and with what appears to have happened to GPU prices that doesn't seem to me much haha.

For your budget the 1050ti is in range but not worth it as 7950 still performs adequatley especially at your resolouitin. You coukd go new 1060 but prices are £329 for the 6gb version so if it was me i would save anoter £50 and get a gtx 980ti. Thats what i did from my gtx670 to 980ti and trippled the framerates.

The 980ti till handle virtually anything at 1080p max detial and is good for 1440p gamig to
