Hi guys,

Currently running a 2gb 6950 and gaming @ 1920x1200. However I'm planning to move to 3x24" in the near future and I have the upgrade itch... so time for a new graphics card!

My budget, well about £300 - I would rather spend less but could stretch further... Guess I'm just a tightwad :p

Not a Nvidia/AMD fanboy, as long as it does what I want and fits in my FT03.

Anyway suggestions and reasoning welcome!

Case is a bit tight for dual cards being MicroATX, ran 2x460s a while back and the 2nd card was cooking.

Not been keeping up on cards too much recently, and was considering a 670/680... didn't realise that the 7950 boost was as close in benchmarks!

Will 3GB be enough though compared to say a 4GB 770?

If I remember rightly, 4gb only really comes into use once you go very high res, so in your case you should see the benefit of a 4gb card. That said, I think the comparison was between 2gb v 4gb cards, so 3gb may well still be enough. See what others have to say on that point. :)

Yeah, gaming @ 5760 x 1200 might need the 4GB then. Ideally the new card will be able to handle this well so would rather spend more rather than upgrading again.

670 or 7950

However, if you could push just beyond £300 you could get either a 7970 or a 680/770

Leaning towards the 300+ cards it would seem :p
