GPU upgrade

Hi all, i'm thinking of buying a new graphics card.

I run windows 7 64bit, and i game on a 19 inch monitor.

My current card is a 8800GT, which i bought a few years ago.

I play games like Dawn of War 2.

Any suggestions? budget is up to 200 squid. I'm a little behind the times in my GPU knowledge

Is your CPU at stock? A 5850 would be slightly overkill for 2.4Ghz. A 5770 is much cheaper but also a fair bit slower- about 70% the performance of a 5850 and some 50% faster than a 8800GT.

Have you tried overclocking it at all? I think its you should be able to clock you Q6600 to 3.0GHz easy enough. Hell, even my crappy nforce motherboard can overclock it to 3.1GHz.

I'm afraid even if you upgrading your graphic card, the Q6600 at 2.4GHz will still be dragging your feet. See the following review as a reference:

I would still get a 5850. I personally don't think a single 5770 is worth is for you. Is overclocking the CPU not a possibility? Even 3Ghz would be brilliant.

Always buy the best graphics card you can afford, in this case 5850. The 5770 will also be a good upgrade and will handle everything at your res.
