Im currently running :

Asus M4A785TD-V EVO
AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition 3.1GHz unlocked to quad
3GB Kingston ddr3 1333mhz
XFX HD 5750 512MB Overclocked.
Hitatchi deskstar 320gb sata, seagate sata 80gb
Antec 900 case

I have a cm scout case, coolermaster silent pro 700w modular psu, another 1gb of ram,new dvd+rw drive, and an arctic cooler rev2 on the way.

ive been wanting to upgrade my gpu for a while, i will have £80 soon to spend and am wondering if i should buy a second 5750 for crossfire or sell my current 5750 and upgrade. If i did sell up i could probably add a bit on so lets say £150, should i get crossfire 5750s or whats the best i could get for £150?

I play at 1680x1050

Thanks :)

The 5750 is a reasonable card - however your board doesn't look ideal for crossfire. The second slot certainly only runs at x4 speed and I can't confirm if the 785G boards even support proper crossfireX (ie two discrete cards). Hence I would strongly suggest you stick with a single graphics card.

Hence I suggest waiting until the 15th (wednesday) as the new AMD top-end cards arrive then and will hopefully drive down prices in the £150 price bracket. If you need to order right now I would go for this, but even if you ordered now it will get to you by Tuesday - while if you order on wednesday (after the release) it will be with you on Thursday.

Thanks for the quick response, i knew about the x4 on my board but i didnt think it would have made so much of a difference? (but what do i know i havnt a clue about pci-e slots etc ) Im not in a rush to order right now so i can wait till the 15th, that card looks nice, what would the ati equivalent be? :)
