Would an Antec 550w Bronze 80+ be sufficient for a GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0? . Not really that fussed on waiting for new cards etc as I've held off long enough with my current 670.

4670k
NZXT 410
Antec TP 550w
MSI 670 P.E

More than enough. Your setup won't be using more than about 280-300w under load.

Those official minimum requirement labels are to cover themselves for people using crap quality supplies. It's the reason why 20w cards come with a 400w power supply requirement even though the whole system would be pulling 150w.
