GPU Upgrade

I currently have a GTX 670 but would like to upgrade to a newer card, I am gaming at 1080p, any recommendations?
I have been offered a 970 for a good price.

I will be purchasing a evga psu in the next few days and I have a i74770K to 4.2ghz.
I was also looking at the R390?

I was looking at the 390 Nitro, is it worth waiting a month or so for anything new?

Out of the r9 390 nitro and the kfa2 gtx970 which should I go for ?
Or any other suggestions?
