Hey everyone, been a while since I was on the forum. Hope all are well!

My water-cooled 900D is needing some upgrades, my question is what do I do with my old NVIDIA gpu and ek waterblock/backplate? Do I sell them separately or as one? And is eBay the only option.

Looking to get a Gtx 1070 oc

Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Kind regards G

Currently have a evga GTX660ti 3GB version, I'm planning on replacing the board, CPU and memory at some point as I am still on Haswell. Just thought I would upgrade the gpu first because of the whole z270 kabylake debate.

Haswell will still be relevant for a few years, might as well just swap gpu

I am in no rush really with regards to CPU overhaul. This was why I was thinking of investing in the GPU first. Still unsure what to do with the old one and waterblock/backplate though. Because obviously if I get the 1070 I will have to buy the appropriate waterblock for that too.. Argh so many left over pc parts.

Wait a week, Nvidia are annoucing something that most people believe to the be 1080ti, I can't see massive price changes but it may affect pricing especially second hand.

Oh really? I'm not so upto date with tech progression like I used to be. Will certainly keep that in mind. I have seen a reduction of the 1070 of late.

Yeah, looks as if the whole 1080 and to some degree the 1070 ranges will change in price due to the release of the 1080ti, my decision just got more complicated. And I still haven't solved my problem with what to do with my old gpu and waterblock :(

give them to your kid and if you don't have a kid ... make one and then give them to him :)
