Hi all

thinking of upgrading my GPU, really CBA waiting for the 3xxx series.

i game at 144hz at 1440 and i currently own a gtx 1070, had this before i went 1440p and higher refresh rate. currently playing games at medium to low to achieve higher framerate. i do like to turn up some eye candy to make it look pretty

will never be going 4K and primarily play FPS game, currently stuck on Apex and Warzone.

i know there is the camp that will say wait, and other like me who like to live in the moment.

my main question is, should i go for a 2080 super or 2070 super? is there like a % difference.

additionally, to help me decide, how much of an increase is even a 2070 super compared to a 1070, i hear its significant?

thanks

thanks both, i have no desire to enable raytraying in any games because the performance lost vs the visual gain is next to useless. i understand about the turning down the settings, but currently i can hold above 110fps in apex on low settings with less than half of the scenes running close to 144.

any thoughts on MSI?

i can get hold of one local to me from a local PC shop

GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER 8 GB VENTUS XS OC Graphics Card

this one in particular

going from gtx 1070 then 2070S . I have 2080 and smashed 1440p 144hz gaming to be honest.

going for 2080S then Gigabyte Windforce goes for £635 > though a bit overkill for Apex , warzone- pretty handy .

thank you, i did think about the gigabyte windforce but its massively long, my case is a h440 and i think it will be too tight.
