Hi I currently have an I7 12700f with a zotac 3060ti (8gb) , I’m thinking of upgrading the graphics card, what’s the sort of highest I could go please to see any difference in performance.
Thankyou

What resolution do you play at?
My bad I should have said, atm I play at 1440 and it seems to handle it just fine, but at lower settings , just wondering how far I could go with it, I was going to build a new one but thought I’d see how far I could upgrade this one first , mainly play destiny 2, Diablo and COD , if that’s any help

There's no limit to how far, your CPU can handle a 4090 if you have 2K down the sofa, but for 1440p I'd consider a 7900 XT like this:

Assuming you don't need an nvidia card for some reason (like cuda).

Ah okay that’s great to know, no ties to nvidia , been reading a lot about the 7900 xt and the xtx , I was just worried about the cpu holding back the graphics card

Ok thanks for the advice guys, it’s a prebuilt I bought, and it’s got 16gb ddr4, can’t remember the frequency but it’s low, I’m assuming if I upgrade that to 32gb and something like 3600 that will make a big difference as well? Sorry for all the questions , I’m new to the pc world

I’m out atm but the motherboard is a gigabyte b660 ds3h and the memory in it atm is Corsair 2x8gb 2133mhz , if that helps at all
