Hi, bought my pc around 2 years ago from oc uk. Im looking to upgrade my GPU just wondering what my options are.

Looking to spend around £300

Also, worried if i will have enough power to upgrade?

Current specs are:

Intel i7 490k (4.00GHz) (Devils Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor.

Prolimatech 81 CPU Cooler - 120mm

SuperFlower Golden Green HX 5501 "80 plus gold" PSU

16GB TeamGroup Vulcan GOLD (2X8GB) DDR3 2133MHz Dual channel kit

Gigabyte Z97X-SLI (Socket 1150)

Asus GeForce GTX 760 DirectCUll OC 2GB GDDR5 PCI- Express GPU

Samsung 1TB SSD 840 EVO

Thanks in advance.

550W is fine up to way beyond £300.

Your main problem at the moment is what to buy because as the last poster said, prices are very inflated right now. The general theory is that for the next six months there is unlikely to be much of a decrease, but you might like to hang on to see. Mining only cards are appearing which should temp the miners away from standard graphics cards, but it may take some time.

For £300 you could, with a bit of shopping around, get a gtx1060, which by all accounts is double the speed of your existing card. If you can get the 6GB card then it will see you well in to the future.

If I wanted to upgrade to a gtx1080 would I have enough power ?
