GPU usage going mental which causes stuttering

Hi guys,

When I play BF3, I get issues where my GPU usage drops and then FPS stutters, I notice this when I die and going to kill cam and respawning again. However, it still does it when just playing normally. I do notice though my HDD light goes on for about 2 - 3 seconds when it stutters.

I've tried med, high and ultra settings and it still happends. I've tried standard clocks and have tried to turn HT off my I7 but still does the same. I was on 11.11 but tried 11.12 drivers and does the same thing

What Res ?

Oh sorry, forgot to say, 1200P (1900X1200).

1GB GPU + 4GB of System Ram at that Res = paging to hard drive.

So it means I'm limited by the amount of system ram and GPU ram I have?

EDIT: I've just researched what paging is!

I've allowed another 4GB of paging to go onto my smaller hard drive so its shared with my OS partition and my downloading partition!

Hmm...
Its the paging itself that is slow thus sometimes the cause.

Does that mean then its the actualy RAM paging or have I done the wrong thing?

Thanks guys, I've done everything you guys have told me and seems to have done the trick (on metro which i've just tried) and it constantly stays on 99% usage which is fantastic!

What card would you guys recommend? Would the VRAM on the GTX 570 be enough, and I was going to SLI them too for max settings while getting 60 FPS at all times?
