Greetings all,

I am eyeing an 5090 that will have a day 1 waterblock (alphacool seems to be making a few). FE isn't one of them, so AIBs are the next option. What manufacturer would you say has the best UK warranty around? I've gone thru the pinned thread but the OP image is 14 years old! Thanks

Will you not lose your warranty automatically if you split the card to install waterblock?

No

The sticky is updated regularly so is valid and up to date.

In my experience all PC hardware warranties are universally awful. You send the item off, and then wait 4 weeks or more for a replacement which is simply not acceptable for me as I use my computer for work. I usually try to buy from retailers who will handle the warranty on behalf of the manufacturer.

Its always good to check each of the AIB's with what resellers they are cooperating and if they have a service center in the UK.

Since I worked for Zotac for around 5 years, I can tell that OCUK directly deals with them and the service center is in the UK.

I have an email from OCUK stating that my warranty was voided on my ASUS card by taking the back plate off the card (3080ti). I needed to do this to fit an EK waterblock. I've been living with horrible coil whine for 2 1/2 years. Please please please run your card in your pc first before pulling off the cooler. I can't stress this enough.

as you long as you will keep the original cooler for warranty then it should be fine. if they will says that you took off the card then this is just assumption, not the proof.

No becasue they said the warranty was void. It's still in the pc now. Working but very noisy under load but at least it's nice and cool under the water block. In my email to them I said that I had taken the back plate off.....Instant void right there.
