So i'm in a pickle between getting either the GTX 770 and the 280X.
At first i was eyeing up the MSI 280X, but I ended up with the wrong Reference board for an EK block. Sent it back.
Then I was eyeing up the EVGA 770 2GB with EK block.I've heard these are good with overclocking. But I'm thinking 2GB wont be enough in the coming months/Year. Any 770 Card over 2GB doesn't seem to have a Water Block and 780 is too much $$££.
Not many 280X cards have a compatible EK waterblock. Not to mention the amount of posts I've read about people having to send back the 280X due to artifacts. I'd rather not watercool it all and then take it apart because the 280X is notoriously unreliable.
Here's the thing. I've heard EVGA will replace the card if it's faulty, even if you remove the stock cooler and watercool it. Who else does this?
So far I've just typed a load of ramblings going on in my head, with no real direction or purpose. I think what i'm trying to get across is:
1. Which companies warranty covers replacing the stock cooler.
2. What Watercooling combinations to you have/Recommend?
Budget i would say around £250 for Card and £100 for Waterblock.
I'd rather not go higher than 250 if it can be helped. My original budget was around £200 for a GPU. That extra £50 was already me saying to myself "if I'm getting this i might aswell spend and extra £XX and get that".
I hope this makes sense at this point.
My head hurts.
