I'm sure i've seen something like this around before, but i can't seem to find it now. I'm wondering which GPU manufacturers still honour their warranties after removing the stock cooler and installing a waterblock?

I heard somewhere that Gainward allow it, but from looking on their website it doesn't look like it.

EVGA do from what i've heard.

Which other manufacturers do you guys know of? :)

none

if you ask officially you will get the official response that it isn't covered, however in most cases they operate a don't ask policy, if they get the card back and can't see that you did anything wrong to it then they'll honour the warranty

the key is to check if that manf puts stickers over screws or not - if the stickers need to be removed then you are in trouble as you won't be able to change it without them knowing

Does anyone know which AMD gpu warranty, eccept Powercolor, allows watercooling?
I heard somewhere that MSI does, but not sure.
About to buy a reference 290 and planning to watercool it.

Thanks in advance :-)

My response from msi, and i told them i punctured one of the stickers over a screw head.

"Dear Nick

As long as you do not physically damage anything, the warranty will not be voided

Thank you"

ASUS have a sticker on a screw too (on the 780 Ti I have).

What I intend to do is test the GPU with the stock cooler in a donor machine (my old Mac Pro with a temporary external PSU in this instance) and throw Heaven or Valley benchmarks at it to at least confirm it functions as intended before I even touch the stock cooler.
