Jayztwocents did a trouble shooting video and at one point accessed bios without powering on the pump etc for watercooling.
I have all my parts for my next build aside from my pump due to COVID delays. I have an Arctic34 for the cpu temporarily so that’s fine but along with others am waiting till I can get my hands on a 6800xt.
for the moment I have a R9 290 gathering dust with an EK waterblock attached. The stock cooler is missing so I can’t swap this out.
long story short, if I wanted to connect all this up (5800x, ASUS CH8 Impact, GSkill Royals and a 290), how long will I be able to stay in the bios before the GPU (assuming only the GPU will be affected) gets too hot? It technically has a large heat sink stuck to it albeit no water passing through.
thanks
