Hi,
Just wondering how GPU-Z reads graphics card information. Does it take the data directly from the core/ bios itself or from the drivers?
I ask this as i have recently bought a GTX260 216 card and i want to be convinced that it really is a 216SP core version even though every reference to it on the packaging states 192SP.
I have used GPU-Z and Rivatuner which both state 216 but i'm wondering if this can be relied on 100% or whether these programs use a prebuilt database which may not always represent the actual card being read.
I should note that GPU Caps Viewer states only 192 which goes against the other 2 utilities.
Edit: I have discovered that the Nvidia Control Panel also states 216SP.
