GPU-Z shows X8 1.1

I have a CF7970 setup and Ive noticed in GPU-Z it shows PCI-E 3.0 X 16 @ X8 1.1, this doesnt change when benchmarking or putting the system under load, any ideas?

Reseat the cards. I had this a few weeks ago, one of my 7970's was stuck at x4 1.1, turned out the card needed a firm push into the slots.

Also using a Asus Xonar DX in the bottom PCI_E slot.

Pulled both cards and reseated yesterday...

Broad is a Asus P8Z77-V

No not in the last couple of years, could this mean my GPUS are running in the speed GPU-Z surgests?

The cards should run @ 3.0 8x under load

1.1 8x is a pci-e interface downclock (or something to that effect)

So you have 2 cards in cf? If you do then yes 8x8 is right. I would also update bios on mobo too.

What CPU are you running? PCIe 3.0 is dependant on CPU, SB for instance doesnt have pci-e 3.0

I didn't know that. How do you know which ones do? I was having a bandwidth issue on my board. I wonder if only using 2 instead of 4 sata would help me?
