Which temperature reading is telling the truth? GPU-Z or NVIDIA monitor view.

My idle temp with my BFG 8800 GTX OC2 is:
NVIDIA MonitorView: 66*C
GPU-Z: 58.3*C

also are these temps quite high for idle?

Thanks.

Nvidia monitor shows the GPU Diode temperature - which I believe is the one you should be keepin an eye on. 66C is a little above average I think. Mine is 60C idle, but I have quite good case flow with an Antec 900.

Yes keep watch the temp - I used Everest Ultimate software which monitor all of it, it very good one and CPU temp is 18-25oC -- I used 2xGF9600GT XXX (SLI) - card 1 is 30-35oC and card 2 is 37-42oC that normal temp.

you have to monitor all the temp to keep cool and normal and aviod too high temp that can cause BSOD.
