Not very clued up on gpu’s looking to hear from anyone if they can share details of the new gpu’s that are coming out, if they’re worth going for or if the current gpu’s would be a better decision for my first gaming pc?

What rez & refresh rate you planning to play at, what's the spec of the rest of the rig, how much you got to spend etc

I have a 1440p monitor currently using an Xbox. I’m not sure of a budget, but I know I’m looking towards a new Ryzen 7 5800x cpu, and I’m looking to see what would be best gpu to go for too. Will be first gaming pc, currently only playing warzone.

Depends what you want to spend, Nvidia launched their high end cards in Sept and should show off or release their mid range card late Oct/Early Nov.
Amd will show off their high end cards on 28th Oct and should release hopefully early to mid Nov, Amd mid range should launch early and mid 2021.

Right now.....wait a week find out what AMD have to offer, the best known card at present is the 3090, IF you can get one you are looking at £1400+, the best known value card is the 3080, again IF you can get one, anywhere from £650 to £800

Also the refresh rate on monitor comes into play.....if less than 144hz you might be better waiting for AMD and the 3070 reviews, both will be within the next ten days ish

no, the 3070 , 3080 and 3090 are NVIDIA RTX cards, AMD's naming is a guessing game right now but likely to be 6800 ***, 6900 *** etc

Probably go for something like this:

5800x
B550/X570 mobo (that can flash bios update without cpu)
3070 / 6900
16GB Corsair LPX (AMD optimised)
Sabrent Rocket 4 NVME
EVGA 750 G+
Windows 10 Pro (keys are cheap if you look around)

As for the actual build process, if you need help, there are many good LinusTechTips videos.
