I see more and more of this **** around; I can maybe understand the "artistic" stuff but the "tagging" stuff I hate. Who recognises this **** anyway? it's mindless vandalism, not anything else.

Walls, utility boxes, road name plates ...... almost any space available is being sprayed ....... mad.

I would propose a change in the law: anyone found guilty of "tagging" graffiti should have a finger/hand removed; all those in favour say "aye" .....

What do you people think?

Agreed. I hate the spidery scrawl of paint you see along every wall, a lot being swear words and other obscenities.. It just makes the place look like a total **** hole. However afaik if the police catch anyone spraying then they will charge them with vadalism or something (never actually found out but I expect they would)

On the other hand, the artistic stuff can look quite good in certain areas, and I have nothing against it as long as the surrounding area is suitable (ie not historic buildings / parks / whatever). There are various warehouses nearish to where I live which have been graffitied(sp) with the 'artistic' type and actually make the otherwise rundown place look quite nice :)

Proper graffiti like this:

is cool. Tagging is lame as lame can be.
