Grafitti on private properties

:S why do you think im an arsonist?

you said the best way to deal with grafitti is petrol and a rag , yes ?

So I assume you catch the culprit shove the perol soaked rags in his pockets and set fire to the little toad

I was just wondering how I should dispose of the body afterwards :p

LOL, a ragged soaked in petrol will remove paint (Spray paint defiantly not sure about household) from a wall easily. I wasnt talking about burning the offender with fire!

city dwellers dont= yobs. Clearly.
Hood wearing (normally) 'youths' from underprivileged places crawl out from wherever to 'express' themselves and leave messages and tags. Sometimes abusive graffiti.

I think that most of these graffiti 'artists' are chavs. Look at the horrible train line ones or the dark, dank, murky places where you walk at night wishing you were in a taxi.
Was not going to make a racial slight FYI.

Better?

Interesting...Do you know anyone involved in graffiti? Have you spoken to or even met such a person?

I've got no problem with artistic graffiti in the right area, it's the mindless badly sprayed tag on someone's wall that winds me up.

Indeed FishFluff. My mate does fine art and then graffiti's over it in a way.
Street yobs and feral youths 'dogging' buildings or whatever it is they call what they do is just a nuisance.

My idea sounds better and more permanent :D

Nah, angle grinding the motar out of the wall and waiting for them to come by and pushing the wall on them from the other side is better. Less chance of getting caught.

C'mon dude, there's a massive difference beween graffiti that is definitely art and the type that's just ****s tagging houses out of boredom.

Nobody said otherwise, mon frère. I was merely questioning how the Almighty Voltar came to such unequivocally crass assumptions as "Hood wearing (normally) 'youths' from underprivileged places crawl out from wherever to 'express' themselves" and "most of these graffiti 'artists' are chavs."

Are you trying to say that anything done 'outside' is not art?

Edit - your above statement is a complete tautology; by definition, no graffito used in such a context can be termed as such. It is merely part of the art itself.

Your aquaintance may use a graffiti style in his art but he is not a graffiti artist.

Plus his work sounds incredibly contrived.

I am complimented by you dubbing me 'Almighty'. Thankyou :)
It's nice that there is someone willing to have an actual discussion/ debate on here tbh.

I think people get mixed up with Grafitti.

For me Grafitti is an attempt at making something look cool, Okay it might be a just a name. But if its in a fun font and has different colours and stuff its ok. But if its just a single colour no effort "woz woz ere 00' with a bottle o metz gettin drunk" its vandalism.

But still if you want to spray a wall go to builders supplies and build your own wall and spray that.

hmm I'm not sure about the contrived thing penski. I don't particularly like modern art which I'm supposing that graffiti artists pertain to. My friends style is very good, but I think the graffiti he puts on it sort of ruins the art itself. Just my opinion.
Its still part of the art itself though, so dont know.

What constitutes a graffiti artist then?

But surely everything created by the hand of man is art...
