Whats the latest with regards to a release date here in the Uk ??

Can't seem to find anything.

expected march-ish next year for pal release, should be released in December for Japan.

It's all gone quiet on the Prologue front. I would not be surprised if it did not appear till next year, even in Japan, despite what Polyphony Digital and Sony state.

Whilst the GT series has been amazing throughout it's iterations it has always been plagued by delays.

Annoying, as I want a decent racer to play on the PS3 online, and prologue will happily fill that gap until I see something on the 360 that offers a change from the tired laggy (due to xbox live) 8 player max racing games.

16 player online is going to take online racing agms to the next level (on consoles) hopefully.

My preorder for GT5 prologue (japan) is dated as coming December 13th , famitsu also has it listed as this. Couldnt hold off as it was only £23 ish from an import site, but may up it to express delivery as it only took about 24 hrs for my DS3 to arrive from Hong kong . It is also listed as having a US release date 19th Feb 08, the Pal version was supposed to be out before this but as yet unknown. Ill tell you guys if it ships next week! Wondered about using the Japan PS cards but they seemed overpriced.

You really believe this? There will just be more idiots to crash into you.But going by GT crash physics, this shouldn't spoil the races too much.

Nice just about to order this too.

Is it dual shock 3 "rumble" supported?

Well the demo does on my DS3 so i guess the game will, normal GT rumble lol, riding the curbs, wheels staring to lose grip, hiting things etc. Up it to express delivery 2-5 days, works out about the £31 mark as i used my $5 off code, no more expensive than a import from the US. Anyway it be here for my birthday :D

Do you know how much the game will cost on PSN? I am this close to ordering the card, but I don't want to buy too many credits as I will never buy anything else from the Japan store.

I expect it to be about the $40 mark about 4000 yen, but i guess we wont know for sure till next week. Couldnt be bothered with the hassle of the PSN cards and several of my mates have PS3's so didnt want to tie it to one console if GT5P has the same DRM restrictions Warhawk on the PSN has, another thing were not sure of yet.

PGR3, PGR4, Forza 2 all have lag (dependant on host) and I and I am sure others I have played with from these forums can attest to this. Generally speaking I don't want/need to worry what the other people I play have on a server based system (which I am assuming GT5/Prologue will use) as opposed to p2p. I have fast broadband, so not a major issue for me.

I don't know if anyone can atest to what the GT5 and/or prologue physics will be like to play, unless they have played the games. It's a case of wait and see really. People tried to guess how great previous games would be (Forza 2 being a big one) and ultimately ended up being disappointed with some aspects of the game, so it is a bit early to judge. Esepecially if you have not played them first hand.

Mr Latte, what are you trying to order? DS3 or PSN prepaid cards?

i read that the PSN version wont have car damage whereas the disc version will have the damage models...

my guess would be online there will be no damage models, so take your choice - pays your money i guess...

That is one of the most absurd things I have ever heard. (not your fault, obviously you are just passsing on info). There is no restriction on downlaod size on PSN so can't see why they won't be the same. Obviously you expect the disc to have some cosmetic extras like a game manaul and maybe making of crap etc.

But feature wise the games will be the same, Unless you have a good reliable source you can link to. With a game this big we would have heard by now if something this crazy were to happen. I would be very disappointed if this was *** case. I would obviosuly then get *** disc version, but would be disappointed that thaye have gone down a silly route, if you see what I mean.

I just said yes to a white DS3 and Jap BD version of the game...
£62.00 after voucher, delivered with NO VAT charges

Certainly a lot better than ebay current rates...

Heres hoping it arrives before Christmas, i dont want to chance online download and credit card problems etc.

Judging by the last videos the games audio still seems the same awfull errr err errr with the brakes...

"This is living"
Yeah Right Sony, you better have updated this game since the online demo or its going to be very disapointing...

My only concern is if perhaps the BD version uses PCM lossless 7.1 over perhaps the download version using a much lower quality.

No doubts we will find out if the amount of data on a disc compared to the download is substantially different.

Interesting point. I just can't undertsand why the pricing is the same (give or take 100 YEN) if there will be content differences, but time will tell. I will give it till Monday to try buy one of these pre-paid vouchers, if not i'll order the disc based game, but with free delivery as I think it will cost £33 if you get express delivery, which is a bit high for me.

Also if I think about it, I have shed loads of games to play over xmas, and very little time off work, so I don't NEED to have the game asap, I am just really keen to try out the online racing tbh.

Glad you got your controller and disc game ordered. Shame you picked the white controller :D
