Grand Theft Auto V

ive just bought the complete edition on the ps3, being a biker myself and riding a chop, im loving the Lost and Damned. no one does character creation like Rockstar, love the cutscenes, my only gripe is the bike riding is as twitchy as hell.

If it's not a crime sim, then what is it? The object is to engage in the criminal underworld. It's a game about crime.

For my part, it would be more enjoyable if it were even faintly plausible. As it is people will pick a fight if you bump into them but the cops will ignore any amount of absurd driving until you hit a pedestrian or one of their cars.

Maybe it's just me, but I found it too unrealistic to be fun.

I thought IV was very good and the Ballard of Gay Tony was good fun. The graphics were very good considering the amount going on in the game but it was all the little touches that made it for me. Can't wait for V...

The whole point of the game is to be unrealistic. Did you throw your controller down when found a jetpack in San Andreas because it was unrealistic?

so you play no games..becasue there all unrealistic, yes even the best sim's (since you can play a sim and do anythnig you want, dosnt make it realistic. you dont buy a racing sim, crash and never play again becasue your dead/cant afford a new car)

Yes I too would like to see it turned more realistic I can see it now -

Game Starts you leave the apartment bump in to someone on the street that person then hits you, you then beat him to death police turn up arrest you que 3 weeks worth of cutscenes of you sitting in a cell before the trial with no option to skip.

The trial then begins que 15 weeks of cutscenes whilst the judge and prosecution go through the case and any history from your previous saves (If you played GTA4 it adds it to the case as a bonus again no option to skip).

After being found guilty que 6 months of cutscenes showing you in your cell with a cool "scratch something on your wall minigame" then as the final days approach you get an option to choose your last meal before hitting the chair/injection (again another option) then the closing scenes of you being cremated.

Sounds great to me can't wait

I did enjoy GTA IV, although I haven't played all the GTA games in existance. Looking forward to seeing what Rockstar actually make / the teasers we will egt before it is announced.

My guess for the announcement will be E3 (well, officially anyway, will most probably be a "leak" a few weeks before), seems fit for it to be then. Can't see it being announced just some normal week.

I really hope they go back to SA game making i.e old gfx but MUCH more content. Screw deferred lighting and emotion engine they didnt help at all imo. Plus no AA cos of the deferred lighting. :(

I hope gta 5 is more like sa gfx wise which should help them make a lot more content than gta iv.

If its gona be similar engine they used for IV then damn it were never gona get a decent gta game again.

Oh and PC first i hope for a change as im sick of consoles getting these first.

It's pretty close to April - could just be the lead up to an elaborate April fools joke :p

I also enjoyed GTA 4 - not sure why people are moaning about it, it wasn't as funny as previous instalments but it still had quite a bit of humour and as always the voice acting was superb as were the situations - bank robbery with the Irish boys was an amazing bit of gaming.
It's a good game and the gay tony + lost and damned are brilliant bits of DLC.

There is no chance of any of those happening I'm afraid. It would be commerical suicide to release a game that looked anything like SA on a console. If you look at the rest of rockstars output, I think it's pretty clear they aren't going to make PC the lead platform, it's not really in thier interest.

I on the other hand thought that SA was the worst one in the series, and GTA IV was an amazing step forward. It does have some issues certainly (which people have covered ;)) which I hope they could iron out. To each their own!

I think some people here are being harsh on GTA4, but then it's typical on OcUK that a popular game is deemed overrated and ****, whereas the games with low scores are deemed to be great, and misunderstood or underrated. It's a joke on here at times, there will always be people that don't share the opinion of the majority, it's not wrong, everyone is free to feel what they want to but it seems that OcUK in particular has an abnormally high ratio of haters, it's as if the majority of people here are stuck in the 10 year old mindset of hate anything that's mainstream.
