Been having a wee look at these recently as an HTPC solution and was wondering if anyone here has one?

Only reason I ask is the case is 43cm wide and the space I have to fit it into is 45cm wide - it'll fit but only just.

1 cm either side or 2cm on the PSU side be enough breathing room for it?

PSU will probably be a Corsiar 620W and likely running a C2Q paired with a 7800GT w/ Zalman HS @ 5V

Any ideas would be good :)

I think that you might find there is a heat build up as 2cm isn't much of a space. If there is an intake with enough room it might cause enough force to exaust the hot air away okay. 7800GT's are quite hot graphics cards too I think, could you not replace it with something newer and uses less power (which would reduce the amount of heat).

How many hard drives are you putting in to it? HDD's seem to get very hot especially in confined spaces but also seem to generate a lot of heat depending on which ones you use.

I was looking to do a switch to an HTPC on the cheap(ish) by just getting the case and dropping one of the machines I have here into it.

However as you rightly point out HDD's will build up the heat too and a look at a review @ spcr suggest poor air intake :(

Look for a new case time I reckon :(
